Attendees enjoyed refreshments before James Crawford, Mare Brignol PM, presented highlights from December 2009 trip to Mare Brignol. Committees for marketing, fundraising, local volunteering, project, and leadership met in individual groups afterward.

Presentation from Dr. Edwidge Bryant. She is a state-wide and nationally recognized expert in language education. Born and raised in Port au Prince, Haiti, she now lives in Central Florida and is an ESOL Professor at UCF. She is dedicated to increasing awareness and education about Haiti. Presentation was followed by a Mare Brignol project update, announcements, door prizes courtesy of Starbucks 9459 and Giant Microbes and refreshments.

Presentation from Peace Corps representative Rachel Mast. One new member received a $50 gift certficate and coffee from one of our fundraising parterners, Ten Thousand Villages.

Presentation from team who travelled to Haiti December 12 thru 17, 2008. Planning and organization for future member travel discussed. William Marshall of Aecom Water presented preliminary water cistern designs for Mare Brignol community. One new member received a great door prize (SIRIUS satellite radio receiver)! Additionally, one project donor received a great bag of Haitian items!

Committment made to apply for multiple projects with expectation of EWB USA approving only one.
